Mission: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not a single act, but a habit.” – Aristotle
Vision: Improve the quality of care by increasing the quantity of resources available to our patients within our private practice.
Welcome to Pulmonary and Internal Medicine Associates, Inc. and thank you for exploring the numerous resources we have to offer. Our practice is unique in several ways, as we are one of the few private practices (not hospital owned) still in the area and our health care professionals practice traditional medicine (inpatient and outpatient services). As our private multi-specialty practice continues to expand, our mission and vision replicate our assurance to provide extraordinary care to all our patients. We incorporate our core values, PLEASED, into each patient interaction, to remain intuitive, innovative, and instrumental within the various communities we serve.
With more than 37 years of involvement, our team of dedicated Physicians and Physician Extenders are skilled in caring for each patient individually and have years of experience caring for individuals like yourself. We know each patient brings a unique approach to the healthcare they need, and our team provides that care with compassion and concern no matter how unique the situation. If individualized care is what you are in search of then our team will be an integral part of all your healthcare possibilities.
We offer a broad range of services that concentrate on preventative care, primary care, acute and chronic pulmonary illnesses as well as various evaluations for preoperative surgery and sleep medicine. All our physicians are board certified and respected leaders in both the medical and general community. With hundreds of hours of uncompensated charity care and election to participate in the various insurance plans, we dedicate ourselves to serving your healthcare needs.
If you find yourself with no insurance and in need of specialty care, that our office can provide, we now have a flat rate charity plan for the community. Ask to speak to me about the qualification process and the participating providers. New insurance plans are emerging every day, and it is possible we are not participating in a group you are seeking to change too. Though the credentialing process with each insurance and plan is lengthy, we are willing to try for you! Before you pursue another physician choice, let us know what your new plan is, and we will inquire, initiate negotiations, and see what we can do on your behalf.
Healthcare is transitioning to new models of care, and as we adapt, your opinion becomes a focal point on how our patient care delivery unfolds, which is imperative to our everyday operations. We encourage you to take at least one of our survey’s every time you have an encounter with our office; whether by phone or in person. Your feedback will enable us to continue what we do well and allow us to evaluate the policies and procedures in the areas in which you feel could improve. You may find these surveys on the main page of our website, www.pimadocs.com.
