PIMA Physician’s take great pride in all our APRNs. Each one of our APRNs does everything our Physicians can do except prescribe narcotics. If your Physician does not have an opening we will schedule you with an APRN during the time your physician is in clinic. This allows a dual visit; the APRN starts the visit and the physician completes the visit. We do not want our patients to compromise their healthcare needs because the physician themselves does not have an opening on their schedule. This practice enables us to see our patients when they need to be seen and allows our patients the ability to see their preferred physician, all while maintaining continuity of care which enables us to decrease hospitalizations.
